Brian Powers is "Walkin' in Memphis" to Victory Lane

(July 1, 2009)   The number 2 PowersHonda.com machine piloted by Brian Powers makes his first-ever trip to Sorrento Italian Restaurant's Winner's Circle with a win at Memphis in the TRI-COLOR Carpet Care Truck Series.  Powers was noted by SKFSA News after the race to be "10 feet off Beal" with excitement from his first win.  The Fox Hollow entry of Mike Shipley finished 2nd followed by Tiny Evans, Brad Thomas and Lloyd Chapin.

Brian Powers earned the Bulle Buildings Lap Leader Award with 48 of 63 laps atop the leader board.  Powers also earned the Fox Hollow Pole Award with an impressive lap time of 26.044.  Brad Thomas earned the SKFSA Hard Charger Award by gaining 6 spots from his starting position.  Keith Coffman was  the Glasgow Primary Care Headache Award dropping 8 spots from his pole-setting start. 

Michael Richey holds a slim 10 point lead over Tiny Evans as the series moves to Kentucky Speedway in 3 weeks .
