Michael Richey Takes Home the Checkers in Motor City

(June 18, 2009)   The 76 SKCPR sponsored machine of Michael Richey makes his way to Sorrento Italian Restaurant's Winner's Circle with a win at Michigan in the PowersHonda.com Performance First Cup Series.  Brad Thomas in the Fat Boys Cabinet Shop 411 ride was the second place finisher followed by Tiny Evans, Brian Powers and Jeff Purvis

Rookie sensation Brian Powers was the Fox Hollow Pole Award winner with an impressive lap time of 38.112.  Michael Richey was the recipient of the SKFSA Hard Charger Award by gaining 11 spots from his 12th place qualifying effort.  Dewayne Poynter and Phillip Jeffries were co-recipients of  the Glasgow Primary Care Headache Award dropping 6 spots from their respective starting positions.  Brian Powers was the SKCPR Rookie of the Race with his top 4 effort.

Michael Richey will take a 94 point lead over Dewayne Poynter as the series heads for Sonoma, California's road course at Infineon Raceway.
