Phillip Jeffries Motors to Victory at Michigan

(June 17, 2009)   The Coffey Auto Sales sponsored 10 machine piloted by Phillip Jeffries makes his way to Sorrento Italian Restaurant's Winner's Circle with a win at Michigan in the TRI-COLOR Carpet Care Series.  Jeffries ran a mistake-free race leading 25 of the event's 50 circuits to grab the Bulle Buildings Lap Leader award.  Finishing second was the Fat-Boys Cabinet Shop entry of car number 4-1-1 driven by Brad Thomas.  Anthony Ford, Tiny Evans and Jeff Purvis all brought home top 5 efforts for the night

Phillip Jeffries was also the Fox Hollow Pole Award winner with an impressive lap time of 40.998.  Brad Thomas was the recipient of the SKFSA Hard Charger Award by gaining 8 spots from his 10th place qualifying effort.  Brian Powers received the Glasgow Primary Care Headache Award  dropping 8 spots from his front row start.

Points leader Michael Richey finished 9th after a mechanical failure found him several laps off the pace.  Tiny Evans' top 3 effort moves him to second place only 42 points behind Richey as the series heads for Milwaukee next week.
